Why Can't I Be Rich Doing That?

One word after graduation can pretty much sum up my life. . . CONFUSING! I just don't know what to do with myself! It is so hard to know what to do? Mainly if I do what I like I make no money. My heart says stick it to the man! You like kids so work with kids! Who cares if you have money? Then my brain says hello! You need money to survive! So I am constantly torn between my head and my heart. One day I will figure out how to make money playing with kids all day! ha I just started working full time at a day care. I do love the kids I work with the 1 and 2 year olds and they are so precious! I love this stage! However, I desperately miss the After School Program! I worked there for three years and honestly LOVED the kids! They were my friends I loved watching them grow up! The kids I had my first year were in second grade now they are fifth graders! Huge change! Sometimes when I think about the ASP my heart aches to go back I know that I was so blessed with that job. I loved the kids but I also loved who I worked with. Me and Kelly worked together for the past 3 years and I still don't feel right when I go to work without her! I know it's ridiculous but I cried when I left and somedays I feel like I could cry again thinking about the kids! So if anyone could come up with a solution that I could work there 17 hours a week on salary that would be great! Thanks for your help! Today is this wonderful girls birthday! Fun fact, Jan 8 is also Elvis' birthday! But I just wanted to give a shout out to this girl because she is one of my best friends! Keelee is such a determined and driven girl. She is such an independent woman! Love you and I hope you have an amazing day!
p.s. My family got Keelee the kinects for her bday. Awesome game!

Oh the Places You'll Go. . .

Well I finally did it! Dec. 9, 2011 I graduated! I feel like I have been in school FOREVER! And although it has not fully hit me yet, I am so happy to be done with school! Now I just need to find a job so I do not feel like a bum and become depressed at home everyday!

This is the group of people that I have been with for the past two years! I truly feel blessed for having such a small class and really having the chance to get to know all of them so well!

This is Paul, Jaimie, and Mallorey. These three are by far my best friends! I honestly do not know how I got so lucky to find them in my major and become as close with them as I did! These three are honestly beyond smarter than me and I know if it wasn't for them I may not have graduated! Thanks for sticking with me guys!

I had a great experience in school and at Weber State. I am grateful for my education and I hope I can continue to learn! This post is already becoming cheesy but one more thing I am grateful for is the Family Studies Major. Yes I have no idea what I am going to do with it at the time being, but I feel blessed that I have honestly loved my classes the past two years. I have learned so much about families, marriage, being a mom, and all relationships, and I know that I will always use what I have learned!

I am Bound and Determined to Get Caught Up!

I want to get caught up so I don't have a huge post about Christmas activities! This year we spent Thanksgiving with Tom's family and it was great! Last year we tried to do everything with both our families and it was a little much, we felt like we were driving more than we were with our families. So we decided whatever family we spent Thanksgiving with we would do all the activities with. I was sad to miss Black Friday and all of the events that go with it but it was a great weekend! We went up to Bear Lake and cut down a tree! We had to cross a raging river that almost got the best of West but it was worth it! Jake brought up his snow mobile and we had a lot of fun riding it around! Overall it was such a great weekend, I can never get enough of Bear Lake!

I seriously love these two! A major perk to marrying Tom was becoming an instant Aunt!

Halloween!

Halloween overall is a great holiday! I love dressing up and seeing everyone else dress up as well! Last year the girls in my family decided to go to Disneyland for my little sister's birthday after last year we were hooked! Disneyland over Halloween is the best! We all dressed up and had so much fun at Mickey's not so scary Halloween (yes we are grown women) It is so much fun though! This year we had the group from UP, Mulan, Rapunzel, Ursla, Jack Sparrow, Tink, and my Grandma was a cute witch! This year Halloween itself was kind of a bust. We got back from Disneyland on Halloween so I didn't have much time to plan anything so we just hung out with our families we didn't even dress up so lame! I did make dinner in a pumpkin and that was pretty sweet! Overall it was a great holiday!
